A Gift Basket

A basket filled with baby essentials is a lovely baby shower gift idea, and a useful one too!

So here’s an easy how to make suggestion for an adorable baby shower gift basket.

First buy a basket – perhaps a storage basket.  Then line it with tissue paper, or maybe a receiving blanket.  If it’s already lined then tissue paper might still be a nice addition – it makes a good filler too.

Then just fill your lined basket with some cute baby items.   Here’s a few ideas:
Onesie
Booties
Sleeper
Footie
Cardigan
Baby socks
Bonnet, hat, or cap
Washcloths
Bibs
Mitts
Newborn diapers
Disposable diaper sacks
Baby wipes
Baby’s brush and comb set
Baby powder
Baby care book
Story book, for reading to baby
Rattle
A small cute stuffed animal – but make sure it’s suitable for a newborn.

A small gift for baby’s mommy would also be a thoughtful addition.  Maybe some English tea – Yorkshire Tea, PG Tips, or Twinings Tea, would be a good choice; or perhaps some nice chocolates.

Finish by wrapping a ribbon around your gift basket, then tie it in a bow.  Alternatively, wrap your present in cellophane, or use a cellophane gift basket bag.  Then close with a twist tie, and a ribbon bow.  Attach a gift tag, and that’s it you’re done!  You’ve made a great gift for a baby.
